Rise of the Republic

The Rise of the Republic encompasses the time from the Great War to the stabilization of the Republic Credit economy. This time period is denoted as being heavy in political intrigue, a slow turn from wartime mindsets, and growth in interconnectivity between the planets of Solanis. While not including any conflicts formally declared as wars, several skirmishes and organizes resistances rose from the formation of the Republic.

3610 | Convening of Pangea and the Coalition

The economy following the Great War on every planet was in recession. Almost a millennium of military spending, supply line interruptions, and labor shortages took its toll on the system at large. To address this common issue, representatives from Pangea and the Coalition agreed to meet on Calderia to discuss immediate actions. With the majority of the Elite threat now ended, the first orders of business were a deactivation of a majority of the standing troops and military vehicles of both forces. It was also decided that larger changes needed to occur, and needed more oversight than the currently convening representatives could provide. A summit was suggested, where government officials of Calderia, Venrar, Tavaari, Solstice, and Rhaegar could attending and debate how best to proceed in the current crisis.

3612 | System Peace Summit

Two years after the motion was put forward, the meeting which had been named the System Peace Summit was held on Calderia on Abrim 5, 3612. Leaders from almost every faction attended the event, which was hosted by Pangea. Most Coalition signees were also in attendance, although it was noted that a few colonies from Rhaegar and Solstice declined their invitations due to increasingly isolationist policies. During the open forum section of the Summit a plethora of grievances and concerns were discussed, mostly involving methods to stabilize and standardize the fragile economy. 3616 | Civil Unrest

Some don't like the idea of a Republic. Mah freedoms.

3624 | Formation of the Republic

Republic is formed with Calderia as the only participant, senators are elected.

3630 | Tavaari and Venrar join the Republic

The other two see that the idea is working, join the Republic and elect their senators.

3644 | Solstice resistance

Solstice says nah. Some of the towns say yes, skirmishes break out as loyalist and rebel factions emerge. Birth of the Black Star Collective.

3650 | Rhaegar split

Rhaegar, like Solstice, is split into loyalists and rebel colonies. Black Star gains a presence on the planet, including staryards.

3670 | Economy stabilizes

The Republic Credit stabilizes as a common currency, and the economy stops its downwards trend. War looms as BSC and Repub enter Cold War like state.
