Tavaari (|Tah-Vah-Ree|) is the third planet from the sun in the Solanis system. It is classified as an ocean world, with around 64% of the planet's surface covered in water. The other 36% is landmass, with one large island in the northern hemisphere and smaller islands dotting the coastline of the mainland. Tavaari is the homeworld of the Quiori, who inhabit the mainland. Some outer islands have been claimed as settlements for other races, others left relatively untouched.

Physical Characteristics

Tavaari is an ocean planet with a global tropical climate. High in humidity and known for its harsh tropical storms, the landmasses of Tavaari are covered in dense forest and tangled vegetation. Tavaari is also home to an estimated 10 million species of flora and fauna, though much remains unclassified. Due to the minimal impact of the Quiori on the planet, especially at the center of the mainland, the various flora and fauna grow to massive proportions. The various landmasses are also spotted by lakes and rivers, with significant elevation changes creating numerous waterfalls across the planet. The atmosphere is the most pure, and the most inline with Old-Earth.

Population

The Quiori are a species native to Tavaari. Standing at an average height of 6" and an average weight of 150 lbs. Their skin is a teal-blue color, and their ears taper to a long point on top towards the back of their head. Their hair ranges from bright white to a dull dark grey, with long brows. Quiori has slimp and sharp features, with eyes in shades of blues, pinks, and purples. It is a common practice across the tribes for the Quiori to use luminescent plant pigment to make glowing tattoos on their faces and bodies, to the point one not having such is unheard of.

The Quiori live in a tribal culture, with various un-unified groups dotting the land. Due to the isolationist and varied nature of the Quiroi, the various tribes share very little in common. The only common traits between each society is that they maintain a deep connection to their land, encourage artistic expression, and have a culture of tight kinship. Their practices are a stark difference to that of Calderia, embracing traditional skills and natural resources.

Due to the Quiroi normally forsaking modern practices, it is rare to find them off planet, but not uncommon. Many Quiori who have been expelled from their home tribe take to the stars and find work elsewhere, but stand out for their rarity.
